BEL Trainee Engineer I Recruitment 2025 Qualification:
  • BE/ B.Tech/ B.Sc. Engineering (04 years course) with Pass Class from recognized Institute/University/College in the following Engineering disciplines – Electronics / Mechanical / Computer Science / Electrical.
Age Limit:

As on 01-09-2025

  • The age limit should be not more than 28 years for General & EWS candidates.
  • The upper age limit will be relaxable for OBC (NCL) candidates by 03 years and SC/ST candidates by 05 years.
  • For candidates belonging to PwBD category having minimum 40% disability or more will get 10 years relaxation in addition to the relaxation applicable to the categories mentioned above.
  • SSLC/SSC/ISC mark card and any other valid document will be considered as proof of date of birth.

Selection process for BEL recruitment :
  • The candidates meeting the qualifying criteria and whose online applications have been accepted will be provisionally shortlisted for the Written Test.
  • Candidates who meet the qualifying criteria and whose online applications are accepted will be sent an SMS and e-mail.
  • They are required to login to the BEL website and enter their credentials to access and download their Call Letter for Written Test.
  • Candidates are required to print the call letter and comply with the instructions indicated therein. Please note that call letters will not be sent through e-mail or through conventional mail.
  • Candidates, whose applications are accepted through the process of submission of online applications, are eligible to attend the written test at Bangalore
  • PwBD candidates (as mentioned at Para. 9.0(e)) are eligible for compensatory time of 20 minutes per hour.
  • The selections for the post of Trainee Engineer shall be through Written Test and candidates shall be selected in the order or merit i.e. category-wise & discipline wise.
  • The written test will be conducted for duration of 90 minutes comprising of 85 Questions, consisting of Technical and General Aptitude Questions.
  • Each correct answer will fetch 01 mark and each wrong response will get negative mark of 0.25.
  • The result of the Written test will be uploaded on BEL website and Candidates qualifying in the Written Test will be called for Document Verification based on merit.

Steps To Apply Online:
  1. Visit the Official Website: Go to the BEL recruitment portal to access the application form.
  2. Register: Enter your basic details to create a login ID and password.
  3. Fill the Application Form: Accurately enter your personal, educational, and category details as required.
  4. Upload Documents: Upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature, and educational certificates in the prescribed format.
  5. Pay Application Fee: Candidates from UR/EWS/OBC categories must pay the application fee of Rs. 177/- (Rs. 150 + 18% GST). SC/ST/PwBD candidates are exempted from the fee.
  6. Submit Application: Review all the details, and submit the application form online.
  7. Print Confirmation: Keep a copy of the application form and payment receipt for future reference.
